Scovell / A Rotunda product
Early accessSanctions, politically exposed person (PEP) and adverse-media screening for payment firms and legal practices. Investigate a match, record the rationale, download the result and close the case. The client data goes with it.
Operational screening, without enterprise weight
Scovell is designed for firms that need defensible screening and case decisions without retaining another permanent copy of client data.
Select the checks the case requires. Sanctions coverage includes major UK and international sources, with list refresh handled automatically.
Screen one person or organisation in seconds, or upload a CSV when the review covers a larger population.
Review the source and match strength, clear or escalate the result and record the rationale alongside the decision.
One controlled screening lifecycle
Add a name and, where available, date of birth, nationality and entity type. The early-access demonstration supports sanctions and PEP screening without an account; authorised users can also add adverse media and bulk files.
See the list, matched name, supporting identifiers and confidence score. Clear a false positive or escalate a potential true match, with the rationale recorded.
Export the case results as CSV, then confirm the case closed. Scovell hard-deletes the case server-side; abandoned open cases are designed to expire after 30 days.
Data minimisation as a product decision
Screening tools can quietly become a second client database. Scovell is built not to. Data exists while the case is open so authorised users can investigate and document their decision. Closing the case permanently deletes it.
Human judgement remains accountable
Scovell supports sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening and records the user’s disposition. It does not decide whether to onboard a client, determine the legal effect of a designation or replace the firm’s risk-based judgement.
Coverage and availability depend on the sources configured for the service. Firms remain responsible for selecting appropriate screening sources, thresholds, review procedures and escalation routes.
